Amnesty Past and Present

  I would like everyone to travel back with me to Nov. 6, 1986 and the bill that Ronald Reagan signed that fateful day.  The Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA), also Simpson-Mazzoli Act (Pub.L. 99-603, 100 Stat. 3359, signed by President Ronald Reagan on November 6, 1986) is an Act of Congress which reformed United States immigration law.  You and most people would say that this was a huge mistake by Reagan for giving people citizenship for nothing. There is however one good thing about this Act, It was part of the deal Reagan had made with the democrats to get it passed. 

The Act made it illegal to knowingly hire or recruit illegal alien (immigrants who do not possess lawful work authorization), required employers to attest to their employees' alien status. There was nothing included in the act about securing the border but Reagan got assurances from the democrats to do that very thing.  We are still waiting on that part, how many employer's are breaking this act in this country? We here in the state of Arizona passed HB 2779 an employer's sanction law, This is considered one of the toughest employer santion law.  It was signed by then Governor Janet Napolitano but there has only been one county and one man who has ever done anything with this law.  Sheriff Joe Arpaio has been enforcing this law but good luck finding anyone else around the state who is.

 We now come to Obama claiming we need immigration reform before securing the border but we already did reform in 1986 along with other laws on the book.  Illegal aliens aren't supposed to have jobs without proper identification, employers aren't supposed to hire them in the first place.  All the laws needed to enforce immigration are on the books, We just need our federal government to their job.  Obama will try everything in his tricks to get amnesty and this means holding border security hostage to get it done,  What happens when some terrorist crosses our border to blow something up or will it take five or six border agents gunned downed by a ruthless drug cartel.  How much blood is it going to take Mr President and our congress before you will do the job, you where sent to washington to do?

 Arizona has stuck it's neck out, trying to get this problem solved but I'll we get is lawsuits, protests, boycotts and liberal media calling us all racists.  If the federal government won't protect this border it may be left up to the states or the people that live within them.

Washington: LEAD, FOLLOW OR GET THE HELL OUT OF OUR WAY!
